Why do you need to paint your smoker grill?

For everyone who questions about the paint for their grill: Most of the firebox is 100% insulated with 2” of 2500 degree fiber insulation; and offset smoking is usually done around 250 degrees and that’s as hot as the firebox gets maybe 275 for long cooks, when you control your fire.

It’s very short in length, but I’m sure that now you can realize the importance of high temp paint for your grill.

If you turn a black painted car on in the middle of the desert at 2 o’clock in the afternoon and let it run for two hours and put your hand on the hood, the paint will not be blistered but your hand will be.
